News Media
Any media request for Circuit, Criminal and Chancery Courts (Parts I, II, and IV) should be sent to the Trial Court Administrator at BartPickett@jisnashville.gov A media request for a proceeding in Chancery Court, Part III (Chancellor Myles) must be faxed on letterhead to her chambers at 615-862-5716. If your matter is in General Sessions Court (a GS docket number), those nine judges have their court administrator, Kyle Sowell, who can be reached at KyleSowell@jisnashville.gov.
All requests for news media coverage are governed by Tenn. Sup. Ct. Rule 30.
“Media” means legitimate news gathering and reporting agencies and their representatives whose function is to inform the public, or persons engaged in preparation of educational films or recordings.
“Coverage” means any recording or broadcasting of a court proceeding by the media using television, radio, photographic, or recording equipment.
