Judge Randy Kennedy

Randy Kennedy is Judge of the Seventh Circuit Court which handles all Probate and Estate Administration cases for Davidson County, Tennessee. Judge Kennedy was first appointed to replace Judge Frank Clement in 2003, and was elected to the Circuit Court judgeship in 2004.

A native of Davidson County, Tennessee, Judge Kennedy graduated from Donelson High School, received his B.S. Degree from Middle Tennessee State University in 1972 and his J.D. from The Nashville School of Law in 1977. Judge Kennedy also formerly served as a member of the Metropolitan Council for Nashville/Davidson County, Tennessee, having been elected to two terms and still serves on the Metro Charter Revision Commission.

He was engaged in the general practice of law for 26 years, most recently as the managing partner of Kennedy & Brown. He is a member of the Nashville Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Tennessee Trial Lawyers Association, Tennessee Trial Judges Association, The National College of Probate Judges, and is a fellow of the Nashville Bar Foundation.

Judge Kennedy is an active member of numerous civic organizations and is married to Debbie Kennedy. They have two children (David and Shelley) and two grandchildren (Camille and Evie).
